β2 agonists have been banned as a feed additive in most countries.But the misuses occurred sometimes.It is important to emphasize the detection of β2 agonists in food samples.In this paper,the pretreatment methods for β2 agonist analysis,including solvent extraction,solid phase extraction,solid phase microextraction，etc.are summarized.The analytical methods of β2 agonist，such as chromatography analysis,electrochemical detection,enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and chemiluminescence method,are reviewed.
