Chiral ligand exchange chromatography is a kind of technique which combines ligand exchange principle with chromatography.The development of chiral ligand exchange strategy has extended the applications of high performance liquid chromatography,electrophoresis and high speed counter current chromatography.This method provides an effective way for the enantioseparation of racemates which are difficult to be enantioseparated by other methods.Applications of chiral ligand exchange in liquid chromatography,electrophoresis and high speed counter current chromatography are summarized.The basic principle，effecting factors,advantages and disadvantages of chiral ligand exchange chromatography are systematically reviewed.Finally,the development trends of chiral ligand exchange chromatography are proposed.
