Hydrogen sulfide（H2S），a kind of colorless，rotten egg smell and corrosive gas，is one of widespread environmental pollutions.As a kind of highly toxic and volatile gas，H2S affects several different systems in human body even exposed at low concentrations.Therefore，the rapid，highly sensitive and real time detection of H2S plays an important role in fields of Industrial production，public safety，environmental monitoring and medical healthy.In this paper，the significant research progresses in H2S gas sensors based on electric charge and optical principle in recent five years have been reviewed，especially those focusing on the development of sensing materials and sensing technologies.Meanwhile，the problems and the future prospects for these two types of H2S gas sensors are discussed.
