Metabonomics (metabolomics)is a subject branch that focuses on the dynamic changes of molecular mass metabolites in complex samples of an organism.Its research concept is consistent with the holistic view and dynamic state view of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).Therefore,metabonomics has been widely applied in research on TCM,and chromatography-mass spectrometry has become the main analytical technique of metabonomics.Therefore,the applications of chromatography-mass spectrometry in TCM metabonomics are reviewed, the advantages and disadvantages of different separation techniques are discussed,and the latest developments of TCM metabonomics in the past three years are emphasized.
