A method for the determination of nineteen organic solvent residues in dyeing and finishing auxiliaries by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS) was developed.Sample was acidified with formic acid,and then esterified with ethanol.After extraction with hexane,the qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed by the optimized GC-MS.The limits of detection for nineteen organic solvent residues were between 0.03 mg/kg and 0.1 mg/kg.The calibration curves for nineteen organic solvent residues showed good linearity in the concentration range of 0.5-50 mg/L with their correlation coefficients not less than 0.999.The average recoveries of the analytes in different negative samples at different spiked levels ranged from 94.3% to 101.3%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs) less than 8.7%.The established method was reliable,accurate and sensitive,and was suitable for the determination of nineteen organic solvent residues in dyeing and finishing auxiliaries.
