The Journal of Instrumental Analysis is an academic journal of analytical chemistry. Its predecessor is Bulletin of Instrumental Analysis which was started in 1982 and renamed in 1992. Journal of Instrumental Analysis is administrated by the Guangdong Academy of Sciences, sponsored by China National Analytical Center(Guangzhou) and the China Association for Instrumental Analysis. The purpose of the Journal is to report the new theories, methods, techniques and applications of mass spectrometry, chromatography, spectroscopy, electron microscopy and electrochemistry. The columns of the Journal include: Scientific Papers, Experimental Technique and Methods, and Reviews etc.

Journal of Instrumental Analysis is a core scientific journal in China. It was awarded the Prize of Brand Periodicals of Guangdong in 2018, the Fourth National Excellent Periodical Publication of China in 2017,  the Prize of Excellent Periodical Publication of Guangdong Provience in 2015 and 2017, and China’s Outstanding Academic Journal of International Influence.
