Determination of Average Molecular Weight of Phenolic Resin Pyrolysis Gas by Pyrolysis Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry
Pyrolysis gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(PyGC-MS) was used to determine the average molecular weight of phenolic resin pyrolysis gas. The samples were injected after crushing and sieving. The pyrograms of the samples were obtained at a pyrolysis temperature of 550 ℃. The pyrolysis gas was analyzed quantitatively by area normalization,and the average molecular weight was calculated. The result shows that the error from theoretical value was less than 1%,and the relative standard deviation(RSD,
n
=6) is 0.79%.The method is simple,convenient and accurate,and it is suitable for the determination of average molecular weight of phenolic resin pyrolysis gas. Verified by ablation tests,it can be used for evaluating the pyrolysis and ablation properties of phenolic resins.
